A model is worth nothing until something serves it. An application is worth nothing once it stops being maintained. Firms that do only one hand you the seam and call it finished.
We stay small on purpose. The person who scopes the work builds it, which is the only arrangement where an estimate means anything.
Ordinary documented software on infrastructure you could hand to someone else. No lock-in, no leverage over a client who wants to leave.
